Respect those who populate the ActiveRain Community!
In reviewing the guidelines of joining the ActiveRain Community they are very basic to our Real Estate Business on a daily basis. I would highly encourage all to read especially when they begin their learning and sharing experience on ActiveRain.
An important aspect to the posting in ActiveRain as well as other advertisements and communications regarding real estate is to ensure that we do not violate the Fair Housing Laws.
Make sure that you do not discriminate against different groups of people by the wording of your ActiveRain blog or comments you make on other's blogs too. It is of the utmost importance that we ensure that no one is insulted or harmed by the language or intent in our advertising. Please refer to the federal FairHousing Laws and Guidelines for Advertising on an annual basis to refresh yourselves on which language may be deemed inappropriate in our writings and blogging. You may see some words you use on a regular basis which you never intended to be insulting to others but unfortunately ignorance to the guidelines is not a legitimate reason for continuing to use this language or intent.
Another guideline which is adhered to in the ActiveRain Community is that the site is not to be used to ever slander another. This Community of fellow Real Estate Professionals is geared to the "Golden Rule", so unto others as you would have do unto you". Disrespecting or utilizing this valuable communication space to slander another Real Estate Professional or anyone for that matter will not be permitted by the ActiveRain monitors or the contributing members. This is a great place for positive communications, feel free to give someone a recommendation or a congratulations. If you have a Real Estate Professional who has provided you a good service experience let us all know.
ActiveRain does have rules and regulations, they are the route of a very positive experience for all of the Community. I do hope you read the introduction, review the guidelines and adhere to them by sharing good, positive learning experiences for all of us to share!
