Yesterday I posted a similar blog about Warrantees and requested comments. I received some interesting comments. I was reminded, that purchasing extended warrantees are mostly are waste of o money. I myself do not buy extended warrantees on my purchases.
Home Warrantees are different. They do protect the home owner against major repairs on furnaces, hot water heaters, dishwashers, air conditioners.. Etc. I have been a strong supporter of home warrantless and I have seen the benefits. They work !
I recently incurred a problem on one of my important Real Estate Tools – my car. Yes, I had the dreaded misfortune of having the fan along with its adjacent parts explode at the same time. I had hope of it not being too expensive to repair. I had purchased a car warrantee last year from Auto Assure LLC, administrated by Interstate National Dealer Services LLC. I had purchased the warrantee for peace of mind, in fact upon receiving the warrantee information booklet, right on the front of the book reads -“ Peace of mind “ . I found this not true.
Upon having the car towed to a garage, the mechanic called Auto Assure LLC and explained the situation. Auto Assured then replied they would only cover 10% of the almost $2,000 in repairs. I obviously was shocked and called Auto Assure LLC of which an Interstate National Dealer Service Inc. operator explained the coverage and only one part was covered. I am now faced with making a claim against Interstate National Dealer Services Inc...
I recently spoke with a private car dealer, he told me to save my money. The car warrantees state that they cover, yet they rarely cover expenses. Another one of the comments I received rang another bell, Insurance companies and Warrantee Companies are great at selling and also great at finding a way out of paying a claim. I do believe that home warrantees are the exception, I have seen them pay. What to you think !!
