It's a sad misconception that Lake Sinclair owners should wait to put their property on the market in spring because that's when people start looking. Those sellers who wait until everyone who believes that to be true have SO much more competition. The smart sellers will get their homes on the market now. Here are my top two reasons why

Lake Sinclair NUMBER 1

Lack of competition on the market. If there are 10 homes for sale on your street and someone wants to live in your neighborhood they are going to be looking at 9 others possibly. But if currently there is only 2 other homes on your street for sale... you certainly stand a better chance of someone choosing it. There's not a lot for buyers to choose from out there right now. (supply and demand)

NUMBER 2

Buyers aren't waiting for spring. So far three of my agents have appoints with buyers this weekend. It was just 10 degrees this morning, but buyers know that spring is just around the corner. After all it takes around 30 days to close. Buyers want to enjoy their lake house in spring... not still be shopping for it.

Love and agree with your logic. We definately are seeing folks out looking to buy NOW, no need for spring to list. Sure, the pictures look a bit greener, but if there are ready, willing and able BUYERS - nice to jump in when you can market.

This is so true Tammy!! People think they are going to buy in the spring and are just looking now and what happens is they fall in love with a house. The sellers who think the spring market starts at the end of March miss out on a whole bunch of buyers. And Lake Sinclair buyers and sellers all need to call Tammy!
