Mardi Gras 2014, Galveston, TX!!
The New Year is here but that certainly doesn't mean the celebrations stop in Galveston, TX! February 21st- March 4th will be a fun time for all in Galveston, TX. Enjoy parades, parties, food, and fun for the whole family.
The first parade will be held on Saturday February 22nd starting at 12 noon.The 28th annual parade will feature over 50 units including 15 high stepping marching bands and dance teams. for the most and best beads do not miss this big parade.
Krewe of Gambrinus Lights up the Night Parade – 6:00pm. King Gambrinus throws a party for 300,000 of his closest friends with over 650,000 throws. Searchlights will “Light Up the Night” as the parade processes down Seawall blvd from 57th Street to 25th Street (Rosenberg Avenue), then heads North on Rosenberg Avenue as Gambrinus Goes to Town in the fabulous Mardi Gras! Galveston Entertainment district.
On Saturday February 22nd at 5:30 Uncle Kracker will be headlining so don't miss out!
Twirl your way through the streets of the Downtown Entertainment district Friday, February 21st 2014 for the 4th Annual Funky Uptown Umbrella Brigade. This year we would like you to gather all your friends, family, and loved ones to join us in our quest to break our previous record of 1,792 Funky Brigaders. This FREE event offers families, friends, corporate groups, organizations and individuals a chance to do a little dance, have a lot of fun and get down tonight.
