Here’s a brief break down of the percentage change in Whatcom County home asking/list prices and the percentage change of sold prices on Whatcom County homes in each of the various MLS zones in Whatcom County for 2013. It’s not across the board but the majority of MLS zones are reporting appreciation in both asking and sold prices. The significant exception to the rule is the Blaine/Birch Bay MLS zone where both asking prices and sold prices continue to fall. But even in the Blaine/Birch Bay area the number of homes selling is up for the year – just not in price.
Whatcom County Ave List prices are up 0.0006% while Ave Sold prices are up 2.4%.
Sudden Valley Ave List prices increased 5.4% while Ave Sold prices increased 3.6%
Bellingham Ave List prices increased 3.5% while Ave Sold prices increased 5.8%
Ferndale Ave List prices decreased 1.6% while Ave Sold prices increased 0.8%
Blaine/Birch Bay Ave List price decreased 5.9% while Ave Sold price decreased 12.0%
Lynden Ave List price increased 0.01% while Ave Sold price increased – barely
Everson/Nooksack Ave List price decreased 9.2% while Sold prices increased 4.2%
Acme/Deming/MF/Glacier List prices decreased 11.2% while Sold prices increased 3.6%
