Managing Real Estate Broker with Fathom Realty PB00068179

Trivia number 90

I want this to be information one just usually doesn’t hear.  If you have I would like to know if you haven’t all the better you’ve learned something today.  With that being said here is the information for you to consider today.

The oldest known map of the moon, about 5,000 years old, was found carved into a rock in a prehistoric tomb at Knowth, County Meath, in Ireland. Before this was discovered, the oldest known lunar map was by Leonardo da Vinci, which was created around 1505.  The last one for today is: Traffic police in Bangkok wear facemasks because of dangerous levels of air pollution. Additionally, police stations are equipped with oxygen tanks in case exhaust fumes overwhelm the officers. More than 20% of Bangkok’s police have some form of lung disease. One Thai bank estimated that Bangkok’s pollution woes cost the nation $2.3 billion annually in lost production, wasted energy, and health costs.

Now go out and tell the world of your new found knowledge.  Smile it will make people wonder what you’ve been up to.  Join us tomorrow for another journey into the wonderful world of Wordsmith.  Click on the link below.  Who knows you may learn something along the way and some of the words may even bring a smile to your face.

Thats so awesome the found that ancient map. Have you seen the Egyptian market they found in the bay? Statues and tablets so well preserved.. That is disgusting! Poor people living in that. Makes me sad but so glad I live in a less polluted area of the world

How does one map the moon from 5,000 years ago and how do you know it's a map of the moon and not just some stupid circle somebody carved into a rock because it reminded that person of the sun or a drop of rain?

James, your post was interesting. I am an Astrologer and have been studying the Universe, the Sun, Moon, Planets, Stars, Asteroids, etc. since 1969. Nice fact on the moon. Secondly, my son is on a three week vacation to Thailand, Bangkok area. Sad information on the lung dilemma in the Police Force in Bangkok.
