Last week during the low temps I had to drive down to Bronson, Michigan and take a few photos of a house for a client. When I was in the area, I was reminded that the entire town has all of their fire hydrants painted purple and yellow to match the high school sports colors of the Bronson Vikings. Seeing these hydrants against the snow was quite colorful. It is really nice to see a community that is supportive of high school sports and has a general spirit thoughout the town.
That is great. I wonder if we could get the State of Colorado to paint our Orange and Blue.....
Michael, That is a fun way to support the local High School Sports Teams! I do like it when communities do things like that!
Michael, I always love when a community comes together, having lived most of my life in big cities this is a part that I miss the most, not just supporting sports, but when some one is in need the community comes together because some one got injured or were in need...Thank you for sharing, Endre
Those are really cool and look great dressed in snow, Michael. Nice community support.
A great idea, would like to see ours painted the school colors. Perhaps I need to talk to the mayor!
This is a very cool idea and you are so correct as it shows big time support of the high school sports programs.
That is a great way to support the local high school programs. I will have to check on the color coding for fire hydrants in Gaithersburg.
The hydrants in our area are gray with a dark green top and that seems to be the color combination for all of Montgomery County, MD.
The trend in Sacramento seems to be yellow hydrants, and I have no idea what that is supposed to represent.
