Home Values Increase in Orange County by 22.6 Percent In 2013.
In Orange County the homeowners saw their home values increase by 22.6 percent. We have still not fully recovered from the Market downturn. We had the pleasure of a very good year by anyone's calculation.
We do not expect to have that high of an increase in home value again in 2014. A huge increase would be quite rare.
Two universities did come out with their projections for the 2014 home value increases. Chapman University has indicated they believe the increase will be 5.6 percent, while California State University Fullerton has the increase ranged at between 5 and 7 percent. Others have also given their predictions. Like Zillow thinks who thinks the increase will be at 7.2 percent.
I know that the colleges do a statistical projection. It is a bit early to be accurate. I feel it is a fools game to guess at what the market that will be 2014. But, I too have an idea as to the market and where it will end in 2014. So I will predict the market will end in 2014 at a 10.3 percent increase. I'm ready to see which of the projections is closer to the data at the end of 2014.
