This photo is kind of interesting with the double exposure effect of the diver as he walked in front of the camera as I was taking an HDR shot. It's almost like he's already submerged.

Makena Landing is a great spot for getting in the water to paddle a canoe, or go snorkeling and scuba diving while on Maui. This used to be a dusty dirty road until recent developments turned the area into a highly desirable second home community for affluent buyers.

Homes in the Makena Landing area are listed upwards of $7.4M if they are oceanfront or just across the street. Georgina, very interesting photo! Makena is one of our very favorite beaches as it is off the map for most tourists and still fairley hidden(as of our last visit seven years ago). Is that Red Hill in the background?

Paul, how lucky you were to do all that diving. Diving in Puget Sound is pretty amazing too, if you can put up with the cold water down the neck of your wet suit. We used to do that and it was a lot of fun, but I admit I prefer not to have to wear a wet suit or dry suit.
