We had a beautiful day and Dolores and I drove into DC to take the Living Artfully tour at the mansion of Marjorie Merriweather Post.

Egrets are beautiful birds Alexandra, love the photo! There was one who stayed around here for awhile and he so pure white against the red rocks and he stayed close to a pond that was stocked with trout. Smart, I'd say!

Alexandra, we have egrets here as well and they can get pretty brazen especially when they see someone fishing g from shore.  I too, love the wave action!

Good morning. When we get to our beach house the best we see this time of year is gulls, but appreciate them just the same. Great photo.

Meeting a "friend" during your walks at Sandyland Beach must be so welcoming and probably puts a smile on your faces each time...

I can eat sea food every day.  I wouldn't want it every meal but at least once a day the sea has a bounty and I love it.

Hi Alexandra.  I love to watch egrets.  They are so patient.  They're not into instant gratification.  To get what they want, they'll stay focused and wait as long as it takes. There's a lesson there!

Alexandra~wonderful photo!! Love it that birds can be so accepting. These egrets always remind me of my mom's place in Homosassa Springs, FL. I remember driving from the airport and seeing them dotted along the roads, doing their slow, spindly walk.

Beautiful bird. How fascinating it must be to see him feed and be so close and personal.

I love these guys. So graceful and aristocratic.  We have them at the pond in our side yard. 

This makes me miss the warm weather and walks on the beach....when we were in St. Thomas last month we spent the day on the beach and watching the pelicans swoop down and come back up with fish was so relaxing!

Ron and Alexandra, your egret is so elegant!  We see a lot of them when it's a bit warmer along to Potomac River.
