How soon do you need to get everything in place and settled?

Real Estate Agent with RETIRED 200305001

How soon do you need to get settled? That was a question that a speaker suggested about 5 years ago at a function I was attending. I unfortunately don't remember to ask it enough.

When you stop to think about it, the answer they give you, will speak volumes. It will tell you everything about whether they are motivated or just looking for a fun day looking at houses. Looking with zero intentions to buy.

 Your thoughts?

One of the first questions I asked when leasing.....should be the same when buying.

Roger: I imagine the same question would work well for furniture if they need alot of pieces.

Great question.  I much rather let someone else work with the buyer prospects that are going to take 3 or 4 years or even longer.  One of my best friends fell into that category. I think it took him about 8 years before he actually bought.   I was not the one that finally sold him his house.  No regrets on my part either.
