Housing Market Update for Washington DC Area
The Washington DC Housing market made solid gains in 2013, according to data from Real Estate Business Intelligence, a subsidiary of the Multiple Listing Service MRIS.
According to the data, Home sold and homes for sale were up as was the median home sales price. Eventhough the federal government shutdown in October, 2013 was still a better year than 2012.
Washington DC Housing Market is on the Road to Recovery
According to Real Estate Business Intelligence Data, the median sales price for a home in the Metro region was ten percent higher last month than December 2012. Home prices in the Metro area are steadily climbing. Last months median sales price was the highest December level in six years.
The median sales price for the Metro area in 2013 was 399,000 which was almost a 10% gain from 2012.
