Captains Quarters completes the whole Shelter Cove area. Tucked past Anchorage and right up close to the marina store, Captains Quarters stand as a sentry to the entrance to Broad Creek from Shelter Cove Harbour. They have pretty marsh views as well as deep water.

What kind of features are in the villas?

There are 64 total units in Captains Quarters and they are fairly evenly divided between one and two bedrooms. The one bedroom villas are approximately 883 square feet and the monthly management fees are $393.31. Two bedroom villas are 1390 square feet and the monthly fees are about $484. There has been the need for an additional insurance assessment annually and it averages in the mid $600 range. Monthly fees include water/sewer, trash pickup, pest control, exterior maintenance, and maintenance of the on-site pool. All of the villas have terrific water views.

The average price range is in the low $200,000s for a 1 bedroom and the low $300,000s for a 2 bedroom - so a great price for a wonderful retreat!

Why live in Shelter Cove?

Though not on the 'ocean side', Shelter Cove is certainly water-oriented. There is a beautiful harbour where both private and commercial boats are all parked. There are boats of all shapes and sizes from small craft and jet-skis that you can rent for a day, to large pleasure craft, and small cruise boats that will take you dolphin watching or deep-sea fishing. The state education boat occasionally stops by and children are invited to learn all about the environment and the critical relationship our island has with all of the waterways.

The walkability index is becoming more and more important to people and Shelter Cove scores very well. With the brand new Kroger Town Center less than 1 mile away, you can easily ride  your bicycle over to pick up anything you need. For fun, there are restaurants along the harbour as well as on the other side of the street in Palmetto Dunes.

If you become a property owner in Shelter Cove, it entitles you to use all of the amenities, including the Dunes Buggy which will take you anywhere within Palmetto Dunes, as well as the beach house and pools.
