Trivia number 94

I want this to be information one just usually doesn’t hear.  If you have I would like to know if you haven’t all the better you’ve learned something today.  With that being said here is the information for you to consider today.

Mayans used chocolate in baptisms and in marriage ceremonies. It was also sometimes used in the place of blood during ceremonies. Mayan emperors were often buried with jars of chocolate by their side.  The last one for today is: Hillary Clinton won the TV quiz show College Bowl several times and landed in Life Magazine in 1969 after making headlines as the first student commencement speaker at Wellesley College. While some older alumnae thought her “mild rebuke” of an earlier speaker was rude, she received a standing ovation lasting seven minutes.

Now go out and tell the world of your new found knowledge.  Smile it will make people wonder what you’ve been up to.  Join us tomorrow for another journey into the wonderful world of Wordsmith.  Click on the link below.  Who knows you may learn something along the way and some of the words may even bring a smile to your face.

Given the choice of drinking blood or eating chocolate, I know which one I will choose when it's time to bite the dust.

James, I visited some Mayan ruins in Guatemala and scaled one of them to sit on top when the sun came up...quite a life-changing experience. Hearing the howler monkeys while walking through the rainforest in the pre-dawn hours heading for the ruins was really something, too.

Hello James - it's interesting to take a trip through the AR archives.  Chocolate is a topic that continues to inspire sweet memories.  How far we've traveled, what's next???

I hope this comment, albeit delivered late, finds you happy and healthy.  Happy 2024.  I "see" from another post from this time, there were problems happening in the Rain too.  You might not be surprised, some of that stuff remains too. ☔
