My Favorite Newbie First Posts! January 2014 Week 2
Our Newbies are off to a great start. There were many new posts this week which means we either have many new members here in the Rain or they are finally jumping in and getting their feet wet.
Lisa Heglar must have been reading our mind about slowing

down and enjoying the simple things in life when she wrote Living on the North Carolina Coast. It's a very thoughtful post reflecting on life and why she loves where she lives. Makes me want to go there.

We all know how drab the exterior of homes can look this time of year. The landscaping looks dead and there is snow and ice everywhere. Erin Evans has put together a great list of ideas to Keep Your Curb Appeal in the Winter. It's well thought out and easy to read.
Whether you ski or not, anyone would be attracted to the Big

White Ski Resort after reading Mark Walker's first post. The picture is exciting and his description of British Columbia's mountain Ski Resort in the Okanagan Valley draws you in. Besides describing all the skiing options, Mark lets you know what you can do when you're done with the hills!

We have a new Technology blogger in Nico Hohman. In Google Will Mainstream the Smart Home he explains how new technology is just around the corner for most of us in our homes. With Googles recent purchase of Nest, it's much closer than you might believe.
We certainly don't want to compare Newbies but where Lisa was

calming, Candy Spurzem is on fire! Her excitement is contagious as she describes how she dreams renovating her dream homes in The Real Estate Nerd. In our head we could hear her enthusiasm as she burst with love of this industry!
Please find time to visit these new bloggers and encourage them to keep up the good work.
