Your Resolutions for a Better 2014

On January 8th, ActiveRain University put Bob Stewart on loan for the first Market Leader Power Hour of the year. Kris Olsen, Market Leader Senior Trainer was the gracious host and contributed some great ideas along the way.

The topic was 'Make 2014 the Best Year Ever' and it was based on your response to a survey we did on Business resolutions for the New Year. 

We asked you what your one business New Year's resolution was then we compiled them and took some of the most popular and shared an idea or two of what you can do to accomplish that goal.

The most common resolutions were hardly any surprise to someone that's been around the industry long enough for a cup of coffee. We saw things like 'better manage my time', 'get more listings', 'increase my business by x%', 'meet more people', 'work on my database' and 'improve my website'

Get More Listings in 2014

The first one is one idea of how to get more listings in 2014. Looking for more listings in 2014? You'll want to be one of the people that jumps on this technique sooner rather than later. As more people become aware of this, it will become less effective.



Answering the Question "How's the Market?"

Lots of people had resolutions to get out and meet more people in real life. Whether it be in line at the grocery store, or at a BNI meeting, if you meet someone and it comes up that you are a real estate agent, the question that inevitably gets asked is "How's the Market?"

Your answer to this question could be the difference between adding this person to your database and walking away with a missed opportunity. This clip gives you some advice on how to tackle that question. 



Improving Your Website

Since it was a Market Leader Power Hour, the answer for this particular question was geared toward someone that has Market Leader Professional as their IDX website. If that is you, absolutely watch this video! It talks about using the 'communities served' area of your website to create pages that can rank in the organic results in Google. If you don't have a Market Leader Professional IDX website, but would like to have the pages on your website ranking in Google, maybe it's time to check it out.

Hi Bob, I am so happy that you can use my How's the Market? in another one of your training classes.  By Referral Only calls it magic words and they actually give you as part of your memebership four deck of cards to help you get through difficult and challenging situations and conversations.  You are suppose to start with How's the Market? card first.
