Survey ~ Saving Text Messages

Some questions came up within my local Association's Technology Committee about saving text messages between agents and clients... Is it important to save them? And if so, what methods do people use to save and archive them? So I would like to throw it out to my ActiveRain friends. Do you save your texts and if so, how do you save and archive them? What Apps do you use and are you PC or Mac? Does yours integrate with a CRM system or other apps like Evernote?

Personally, I do save text messages. I want to be able to show a complete and accurate record of communication just in case any questions ever arise down the road. I use iPhone and Mac and use an app called PhoneView. It works pretty well but it is nothing special.

So if you don't mind please answer the following questions:

  1. Do you save your texts with clients?
  2. How do you save them? (what apps or programs)
  3. Does your app integrate with Evernote or some other system?
  4. Is it PC, Mac, iOS, Android?

Thanks for taking the time!!!

Hi Kevin

I do save the texts but do not not have any app or order.  At present most communication is email. But I want to stay current so I will look into this.  My moble device is iPhone and iPad with PC based computers and I sync with Outlook.
