A recent survey by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification found 81% of U.S. homeowners feel that their family's health is directly related to the cleanliness of their floors. 33% of the people surveyed said that someone in their household suffers from indoor allergies. Also, 50% of those households agree that the type of flooring can contribute to allergies.
More than 77% of homeowners vacuum their floors at least once per week. Those with children vacuum more than once per week. 49% of the homeowners deep clean their carpet at least every six months with 39% hiring a professional service.
