30 Days of Marketing Opportunities - Day 2

This series of 30 Days of Marketing Opportunities will give you 30 projects or tasks that your Virtual Assistant can handle on your behalf, generating leads that will ultimately generate more income for you!
 These are tasks that do not require a lot of high-end skill but, instead, require some time (hence the reason your Virtual Assistant should handle these tasks, not you!) and attention to detail.  Join me on the journey and I welcome your feedback!

Day 2 - Syndicate Your Blogs

Syndicating your blog is simply the process of sending the blog's RSS feed out to multiple websites simultaneously.  This will give your blog additional exposure that you may not typically reach from your current contacts.  Syndication puts your blog feed in front of other people, in places where they can easily subscribe to your blog.

To syndicate your blog, first find the RSS feed.  On your ActiveRain blog, the link to your RSS feed is located in the social media box on your blog page.  Click on the button that says RSS Feed and capture the link.  Then, submit the feed link to multiple feed burning sites such as:

* feedsubmitter.com
* serarch4rss.com
* digg.com
* technorati.com
* del.icio.us
* stumbleupon
* reddit

This sounds like a great idea, but I guess I need a little more clarification. Can you tell me a little more about finding the RSS Feed link? Do you send it after each post? Or is it a huge RSS dump that you do with code that includes all of your posts?

Dana, the RSS feed isn't specific to a post. Instead, it is specific to your entire blog. So, if you capture your RSS feed from your Active Rain blog, and submit it to some of the feed burning sites, it will submit your entire blog. Then, whenever you put up a new post, the feed will automatically update and notify anyone interested in your blog.

Does that help?
