Well we finally got a good dump of fresh snow up here about 9 days ago and the resort has been reaping the benefits of that ever since. Unfortunately, for the time being it's looking like we're in another dry spell at least for the next week but at least the rocks are covered and both mountains have sufficient coverage to get you around to anywhere you want to ski.

As is typical in the real estate market cycles for Whistler, we're in our slightly slower post-Christmas period at the moment with less property typically being sold in the time between Christmas and about the 3rd week of January. Personally, I'm just starting to see my sales activity pick back up with both buyers and sellers starting to pick up the phone and set appointments with me to go on property tours or come over and have a look at their homes and condos for pricing evaluations. All indications are that from here on through the remainder of Q1 we'll see last year's similar heavy sales volume resume.

Notable New Listings

  • #205 Windwhistle is a great 1 bedroom, Phase 1 nightly rentable property right in the heart of Whistler Village that just came available at $245,000. This is one of the very first condo buildings that was constructed in the original, main Whistler Village and is in a prime location above the Grocery Store, Tapley's Pub and BC Liquor Store with views to the west. A really great buy considering it's primo location.
     
  • #301 St. Andrews House is another rare one right in the heart of the original Whistler Village. This huge 1,600 sq. ft. 2 bedroom condo is right above Fanatyk Co. and faces both Whistler & Blackcomb mountains. Priced appropriately at $829,000 it's a tough one to beat if you want to be a stone's throw from both gondolas.
     
  • In the market for a hard to find lakefront cabin in Whistler. 9229 Lakeshore Drive is a 2 bedroom/1 bath, 1,826 sq. ft. cabin on the shores of Green Lake with it's own private dock. These don't come available very often so be quick and give me a call if you're interested. Offered at $1,387,500
