I thought of these lines from Clement Moore’s poem, A Visit from St. Nicholas as I took a walk this afternoon and the wind was whipping up the dried leaves along the edge of the South Graylyn Crest park (always known to my boys as “the park with the rocks.”) It was a place they liked to go to and climb all over the large rocks which were left by the prehistoric volcanoes which once occupied Delaware.
And now I really am thinking Santa weather, since they are predicting winter storm Janice will drop 3-5 inches of snow tomorrow. Guess I will have time to catch up on reading and research tomorrow!
