What's love got to with Real Estate business?

Who wants to answer first?  I bet all AR members would like to raise hands and answer at the same time with ---plenty!  And yes, because we all are aware of how much passion we are pouring into our Real Estate business to make it work.

In my mind, Real Estate is more like a love affair.  You really have to have a 100% interest, love and commitment.  Love and commitment are two very essential components in a successful Real Estate business. According to Kenneth H. Blanchard, "There's a difference between interest and commitment.  When you're interested in something, you do it only when it is convenient. When you are committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results."

How to gauge if you are in love and committed with your work?  Well, I am not an expert but just like loving someone, you are excited to see that person everyday.  You work so hard to get her attention and when she did notice you and started to reciprocate that feeling you ultimately get serious.  You will then decide to get to the next level and that is to seal the relationship with undying love and commitment.  We have different ways of showing, however most of us will decide the traditional way, to propose marriage. A wedding is set, after that a honeymoon and then a baby.  Marriage is full of ups and downs, but when you are committed you will stand the test of time and will have a loving and harmonious relationship with your wife until the end of time.  We can identify these with our business as well.  You started to realize that your interest is in Real Estate business.  You become so excited to start the Real Estate company and got serious to really focus on your goals to make it one of the most successful Real Estate business in your area. The next level would be, your Real Estate business is booming and you can no longer handle it on your own.  You hired your first set of employees, you are faced with the challenge of how to run a company with this new setup. Real Estate marketing, complaints, transactions, leads, deals, closings are everywhere.   Busy day in and busy day out.  The task is seemingly daunting.  But there you are, you are still standing and more focused than ever because you are in love with what you are doing and you are committed to make it work.

Keep the love with your Real Estate business burning so it won't end up in divorce.  And now that the housing market is almost back to the 2006 level before the bubble burst, start your new found love in Real Estate business now and there's a great chance that the only bubble will be in your champagne when you celebrate the success of your new venture.

Good morning Frank. You maybe on to something, now I understand why my wife calls blogging my mistress. Certainly residential real estate is romantic.
