One of the wonderful things about ActiveRain is having an open forum to discuss anything and everything related to the real estate industry with like-minded peers, colleagues and people in similar roles all over the country. Our Real Estate Virtual Assistant team has had the pleasure of connecting with many knowledgeable real estate professionals from every corner of the United States by offering marketing tips, ideas and samples of work we’ve done for many of our clients. We consider our blog to be an important communication tool and asset to our company due to its reach. If you’ve been considering focusing on your blogging in the new year, our experienced Real Estate Virtual Assistant team has a few suggestions to get you blogging like a pro in the new year!

1. The Purpose: Think of blogging as a creative way to share stories and communicate with your audience in a fun, light-hearted and professional way. Mix it up by discussing the business end of things – changes to the mortgage industry, real estate news, the economy and how it affects your business – as well as the more fun stuff, such as your memorable real estate tales, interesting situations you may have encountered and how you’ve solved problems in your own business. A professional, unique voice will draw readers in and fresh stories that mix both the business and the fun will keep them coming back. Be personable and view it as an outreach tool to directly engage your audience.

2. The Consistency: Set aside a particular date and time to write at least once a week. Consistent entries will ensure that readers return for another great scoop, and will also show that you are passionate about your industry and enjoy networking with others. We understand just how busy and hectic things can get in a real estate professional’s life! However blog entries are meant to be concise, so make it a priority to set aside an hour each week to write about something real estate-related. One of the wonderful things about such a fast-paced industry is that it is always evolving, so you should never run out of topics!

3. The Technical: By now, just about everyone has heard of search engine optimization (often shortened to SEO) and how it works with your content. Teaming up with a Real Estate Virtual Assistant team for your blogging and social media efforts is a great option to ensure professional, consistent, search engine optimized content delivered directly to your audience in a relatable way. Keep specific keywords in mind and sprinkle them sparingly through your content as it makes sense – But always be sure to write for your readers, not a search engine! Additionally, sharing your new entries as they are posted onto your social media channels is a great way to build up a larger audience and engage them. Let the quality of your content speak for itself to ensure your readers, followers and connections return.

Our Real Estate Virtual Assistant team is always ready for any questions you may have! Feel free to contact us for a one-on-one discussion, or check out any of our social media channels. We look forward to connecting with you soon!
