Many in Atlanta GA today packed into Ebeneezer Baptist Church this morning to join in the memorial celebration of the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Others of us sat rapt in front of our televisions to participate vicariously in the hours-long remembrance of the icon of the American Civil Rights Movement.
Pastor and Prophet,
Leader and Hero,
Nobel Peace Prize Winner,
Martyr,
...and especially here in Atlanta...
Georgia's native son.
Thank you, Dr. King, for standing up and speaking out, and ultimately paying with your life in pursuit of liberty and justice for all Americans.
