Whats all the fuss about short seller sales? I just did one!

They are not so hard, these short seller sales! As a matter of fact I just did one and it was way easier than working with tall sellers. It always hurts my neck to keep looking up to them. Plus, I always feel like the tall sellers are looking down on me. I always wonder if they think they might be smarter than me, or just that I am below them in income or something?

I try my best not to look down my nose at short sellers, which usually isn't a problem since I am only 5'10". I think short sellers are anyone shorter than me. I don't understand when people say these sellers are always behind, unless it is because they have short legs and can't walk real fast?

I don't know why agents keep saying that you need all this extra paperwork and stuff to sell short sellers homes, unless it is because they are some sort of protected class I didn't know about. I just used the regular forms and their house sold real quick. Why do short sellers need bank approval to sell their homes anyway? Are there special terms for short sellers?

For all those that have never sold a short sellers home, they are not that hard, and mostly they are nice people. So don't give up, you will get your short sellers home sold!

Dennis, you probably only did one...which then, congrats!

wait until you get one, spend hours on the phone talking to banks, and then find out your posted commision of 3% just became 1.5% take it or leave the bank says!

well you take it, but you learn to not like short sales, they're unpredictable, im glad you got a good one.

Was it was because my seller was 5'4" ? If he was taller would the short seller sales become harder?

Dennis,

Try doing five or more. You'll hate them.

Well, I don't know if Dennis has done any short sales, but has possibly worked with short sellers.  Not sure if this post was just a joke or a play on words or if Dennis is poking fun at the war stories of short sales or what this post really is about.

I'll agree with some in relation to it being a challenge and much work, but I find it rewarding knowing that i played in an important role of them avoiding one of the worst financial damages, especially when its involving small children. But over all, doesn't it feel good to know that you did it? Gongratulations, ignore the bad sayers, what differs you from them is that you got heart , and your clients notice and welkl appreciate it. have a safe and blessed easter weekend.

Kristi- I think some people get so stressed out over their job they fail to see the humor. Thank goodness you get it!

I think some folks missed their Metamusil this morning.  Humor is acceptable here too you know.  Thanks to those who recognized this.

I don't think they are "hard", but they can be stressful - especially when the lender take the whole 21-30 days and then come back and say the offer is too low!  I mean how long does it take to figure that out?  The other part is the negotiators seem to think this is some kind of game and it is not.
