Great post Katrina! There are many moving pieces with Social Media that all tie together. Google+ is a great place to start since it is a major hub for search. Thanks!

Katrina,  I don't know why I put this off for such a long time, I found your link and realized I had already signed up on Google Plue, loaded my photo and added the custom link,  I haven't checked on the search engine to see if the photo is there, but with your precise instructions made it easy, almost too easy where I could have thought I completed the procedure and maybe didn't.

I looked at Market Leader for a while, and ended up with Real Geeks, like many of the features, would like to have the best of both worlds.     I am not sure exactly what the second part of your instructions were since it pertained to your Market Leader site.

Thank you for your post...

I couldn't figure out how to do the last steps very confused.

6. Click the Save button. I did this.  The rest of this didn't make any sense to me.

  1. Create a link to your Google+ profile from your webpage, like this:
      Google

Replace [profile_url] with the your Google+ profile URL, like this:

      Google

Your link must contain the ?rel=author parameter. If it's missing, Google won't be able to associate your content with your Google+ profile.

  2. Add a reciprocal link back from your profile to the site(s) you just updated.
    1. Edit the Contributor To section.
    2. In the dialog that appears, click Add custom link, and then enter the website URL.
    3. If you want, click the drop-down list to specify who can see the link.
    4. Click Save.
