Love these kitchens - all these pictures are compiled by Lindsey, new to ActiveRain, though does not look like she is new to blogging. Hence this re-blog.

(Lindsey, just an FYI, re-blogging on ActiveRain means I liked your post and want to promote it.)

Please stop by at her post and welcome her!

Keeping your home up to date is something that should be on the top of every homeowner’s list. It makes your home more comfortable to live in, helps increase the value of your home, and it’s fun to show off, too. If you live in a pre-owned home, you can remodel and improve your home, or you can build a custom home. If you’re building a custom home, you should get the best, latest items on the market. One of the best ways to make your home more current, comfortable and marketable, is by upgrading your kitchen.

Here are some of the world’s coolest kitchens that you can model yours after:

Futuristic Kitchen

This kitchen looks like it was taken out of The Jetsons. With its colors, titanium appliances, shape and design, this is one of the coolest kitchens that we’ve seen. The round kitchen island and lighting make the kitchen look fantastic. Not only is this a kitchen to be proud of, it’s something that you can show off to your friends, a place that you can spend tons of time in, and it’s not going to go out of style anytime soon. Throw in smart thermostat and you’ll really have the prototypical kitchen of the future.

Jonas’ Kitchen

One of the most modern kitchens around, this celebrity kitchen is a trendsetter, for sure. Everything, from the hand scraped hardwood floors to the color of the paint on the walls makes this a homey, peaceful environment. The wood, lighting and colors all blend perfectly, making it one of the coolest kitchens around. Also, it belongs to the eldest Jonas brother, Kevin. That makes it even cooler, right?

Minimalist

Having a cool kitchen doesn’t mean that you have to put a ton of awesome things in it. Take this kitchen, for example. There are very few decorations, but the limestone flooring, dark wood, and stainless steel appliances make for a very sharp look. While some of the other kitchens on this list aren’t easy to copy, you can definitely steal an idea or two from this one. In some instances in the kitchen, less is more.

Rustic

This kitchen is amazing. In the middle of the kitchen is a cedar tree, with the lights hanging from it’s branches. The stone, tree, and colors give the kitchen a rustic, country type feel. There are so many awesome features of this kitchen that you can’t see, either. Wine storage areas, view of the nearby lake while standing at your kitchen sink, and electrical outlets that appear when you push a button. This rustic kitchen is certainly one of the best in the world.

French Kitchen

With arches, tons of space, and a lot of white, this French colonial kitchen was an easy choice for our list. For the stylist, this is everything you could ask for. For the chef, there is a lot of room to move around in, and adequate cabinet space. With chairs set up at the counter, it makes hosting a party easy and fun for everyone, including the host.

Good morning Praful, kitchens are the heart of a home for families to be together  until the end of the day.  They can talk about their plans for the day, as well as to discuss making plans for the evening. day, and will likely be the only time they see each other until the end of the day.

I love the pictures of this kitchen,  and is the perfect place to meet in meet in the morning, and will likely be where they gather again in the evening.

HAVE A GREAT DAY!

The kitchen is the reason why many homes sell - just make that right.
