January Is Almost Over! Got Those Business Plans and Goals Set Yet?

Can you believe January is almost over! Wow! Time quit flying and is now jetting on superspeed! If you haven't made your 2014 Business Plan or set your goals - personal and/or business - for the New Year, now's the time to do it. Otherwise, Christmas 2014 will already be here and nothing is likely to have changed!

I actually worked on my 2014 business plan in November and December. I never quite finished it, as life got in the way. But it's solid enough to work well. The interesting thing about business plans, though, is that they sometimes need to ebb and flow, depending on how your days and life go throughout the year. A little elasticity is good for any plan and that's especially true for the many boomers and seniors who are balancing work, eldercare giving, child rearing or grandkid sitting, and more. And, for the most part, doing a really good job at it! I think that's in large part because the older we get, the more we realize we don't know everything, we can't do everything, and that's OK! That's what we have helpers for - like real estate assistants, family members, and friends.

So I will definitely keep my business plans handy, keep plugging away at achieving them, and be open to help in getting them accomplished. One in particular, though, I'll be doing all on my own. That one is to continue to write about what's going on in the world of senior care and aging in place options and issues. Those are the topics I know well from many years of personal experience and those are the topics I can serve others well by - online and in person with real estate clients.

So if you have any real estate issues you need help with, particularly with a focus on a home that provides you and your family with the aging in place options you need, or in helping a beloved senior with their real estate needs, do give me a call at 657-229-5293 or email me at Kaye@KayeSwain.com and I'll be glad to share my expertise with you here in Pierce County Wshington (or beyond ) as we take good care of all your real estate needs!

Hi there Kaye. I like your ability to go with the flow - it's so important. I love Real Estate, as most of the time, we can dictate the schedule. And yes, a bit of flexibility in a plan is a must.

My business plan is to SURVIVE another year.  LOL!  But, we are working on a new ad campaign that should bring the business in.

So true, Debb - and that flexibilty can benefit our clients just as much.

Oh Suzanne, I love your goal.  And YAY for the new campaign. I'm working on my own right now.
