Biggest Mistakes Home Sellers Make (Showing Availability)

Part 3 of my series, “Don’t Make These Home Seller Mistakes” (view chart) discusses making your home available to show in the South Forsyth real estate market.

The South Forsyth real estate market is very competitive so making it easy for buyers to see your home will definitely help you get it sold faster.  Every deterrent (no lock box, appointment required, etc…) reduces the number of opportunities for a buyer to see your home.

TRUTH #1 - Make it EASY to show your home! If you make it too difficult many agents will just stop trying.

When you know a showing is scheduled, you can put some last minute touches on your property and spot clean for maximum impact before the buyers arrive. This extra effort can make your home more inviting and appealing, get it sold more quickly and at a better price.

Someone on here once made the comment on a post I had written to the effect of "sellers should take the path of least resistance."  I think this is what they had in mind.

Getting results w/ knowledge & know-how!

Great information Gayle! I have told my clients that "unless there's a respirator involved you MUST accept all showing requests".  A bit dramatic on my part yes, but they seem to hear it & understand it.  The likelihood of getting a potential buyer back after a declined showing request is slim to none!

Thanks Brenda... I hope this helps a few sellers (and maybe a few agents).

So funny Gary.  I'm sure this is more in line with what they meant.
