I went back to review what my 2014 preplan for business blog to see what makes sense to blog about for this post. I also checked my business plan to make sure that I am focused on the results of my activities versus just doing the activities. Every one of my activities or tasks should be a part of the gran effort to achieve these goals. Now 2014 started off with some health concerns I am still able to work on things that can help me achieve my
goals this year.
Increasing Revenue
My number one goal is to increase revenue. To do that I have to consider: how I am going to build my pipeline; what I will do to build my pipeline; and where to focus to build my pipeline. My summary stated:
Summary: find another good networking group, increase blogging to 3-4 times per week, remain with my current volunteer commitments, increase traditional advertising.
So far this year I have reached out to one organization that has several local groups. Together we are trying to find the right fit for me. I am expecting within the next 3-4 weeks I will be in a new organization for networking. I actually have been blogging everyday as I incorporated this into my time blocking. While I first limited this to my early morning hours. I am trying to break that up into two sessions during the day in order to get different perspectives within AR. You see many people post at certain times each day which means I don't get to discover as many different people as I may want.
I still participate in my Rotary commitments every week. While I am not looking at this as a huge lead generator, I really look at this as volunteer work that I enjoy. The business aspect is a third or fourth position. Hence the reason to do a business focused networking group. The last item on increasing advertising is coming along.
Before I invested additional dollars there I had to have my website and social media footprint better defined. That has been coming along very well and I expect my first advertising\marketing piece to go out next week. This is a little later than I wanted but getting it out is still getting it out.
All business factors seem to be pointing to another banner year. This year I want to make sure I catch the big wave and take my clients along for a wonderful ride. Because my clients know, when you work with me: Your Success is My Focus.
