This week I attended the Women's Council of Realtor's Convention in San Diego and stayed at the Manchester Hyatt Hotel which had sponsored the event. First of all it was so easy to get to off the freeway and straight down to the water and there it was just past the USS Midway Ship which is docked there.
We were checked in within 5 minutes and and our bags were up to our rooms within 10 minutes by the Bellboy along with complimentary bottled water and a great introduction to all the amenities in our room like the safe located in the closet and the frig. He showed us how to reset the safe code and brought us extra hangers and pillows.
For the next several days, the food served in the banquet rooms was hot and very tasty. There are many bars, restaurants and a great pool and spa on the 4th floor between the two towers.
The room faced the ocean and I took several pictures of the ships down at the shore. The first ship is a cruise ship going into the Port of San Diego. This ship the "Columbia" is one of the Celebrity ships. Every morning there was a new ship coming in and at dusk, they were leaving so it was pretty exciting to watch.
Many restaurants nearby and across the street. We went to the Cheese Cake Factory one night and another night we tried Sally's Seafood. It had an outside patio with an interesting fire pit. Here is a picture of the patio area.
Other amenities like several gift shops, valet parking and many restaurants from snack shops, coffee houses up to fine dining.
The next time you are in San Diego, stop by this hotel and if you can, get a ocean view room.
