I have worked in real estate for over 12 years non stop. Even on vacation I answer my phone and return emails, do offers, etc. Yesterday I had a real wake up call about how out of touch I am becoming. I went to an outlet mall about 30 miles from where I live. I found that since I had been there they had built a 9 story parking garage and added about 40 stores and were in the process of adding 45 more. I asked a clerk how long this had been so different and she said for over a year.
Then on the way home I went by Lexus to get my bluetooth synced and enroute I went down a road that I had not been on for over ayear and there are 2 new shopping centers.
I decided to take a few hours each week to go somewhere local that I have not been in awhile so I know more about what is happening in my area.
Work is good and being at home is good, but I need to expand my horizons.
