Just started my career in real estate

By
Real Estate Agent with Exit Real Estate Results

I am brand new to real estate. So much to catch up and a lot of questions. I want to help people. I want to make a difference in people lives. I want financial freedom. My concerns is that I do not know a lot of people. I need to less timid and get out of my shell. It is a personal goal for myself.  My first marketing plan is blogging. I will try to get out there and meet different folks to help me on the right direction.

While blogging is a great way to get your personality out there, it can't be your only marketing plan.  Go out and meet people - join a local club, or volunteer, or take dance lessons, or be a mentor.  There are a lot of ways to increase your sphere of influence.

First of all, let me say Welcome to ActiveRain, Wesley.  I used to live in Altamonte Springs and then Deltona before I moved to the Roswell, Georgia area.

Second...  you know far more people than you think you do.  Your SOI isn't just your close friends and family.  It also consists of your doctors and dentists, wait staff at your favorite restaurant, your mail person, the person that bags your groceries and many more.  Let them all know you are now selling Real Estate.  You'll be surprised where your next customer may come from!

Good luck!

I am trying to get out there also. I have joined my homeowners association and salsa lessons. More to come soon.

Wesley,

Welcome to the wonderful world of Real Estate!  Blogging is a great way to get started and will put you in a good position on the internet.  It is a must to have a good internet presence.  Once things get going you may want to get a website but be careful not to over extend yourself financially.  Check out my website:  www.greenerpasturehomes .  Develop emailing lists, then when you blog on various events that are coming up be sure to send the link to all your email list.  You must keep in touch!  Find out events in your area and attend them, volunteer, become a part of various people helping organizations.  There are plenty of areas to get involved and meet people.

Congrats Wesley! I am right behind you. I have been in the Mortgage business for about 3 years and just finished Real Estate school and am waiting to get cleared to take the test. This is a great place to be to learn and network. Just make it point to post things of interest to your community and to share little bits of yourself as well.

To your success!

ps. Check out Katerina & Nestor`s blog as well as Jason Crouch. They have tons of great stuff to help you with blogging on AR.
