Asheville Real estate Home Sellers can USE THIS Right Now!

A powerful group of buyers  is on the horizon. They are known as "The Savvy Boomers" and they are heading to Top UN-Retirement Heaven- Asheville, North Carolina.  We are happy to meet them "at the door" as these home buyers are age-friendly and very selective. They are looking for feathered nests in which to "age-in-place": (see my earlier posts)

Here are five questions they ask us

1. What DESIGN elements DO YOU consider important to incorporate in a lifelong home?
2. How might WE  leverage our clout  to demand universal design elements in our homes?
3. Do  YOU see any particular challenges we might encounter along the way?
4. How might WE connect with a support system in Asheville?
5. What kind of a spending plan do we need to create a functional and beautiful home ?

I'll share a few more of these questions in future posts- but in the meantime here is a

Heads Up to Sellers:

With such savvy buyers, SELLERS  you may want to pay special attention to the above questions "Boomers" are asking, and then take a serious look at this ...

Grand point all and soooo true! Vital info for new home builders as well. I still see so many new homes with lovely bedrooms downstairs (great for elderly parents, boomers who wanted a two story but could develop issues, etc.) but NO bathtub or shower in the downstairs bathroom. I personally prefer single story, but with so many more two stories out there, a 1.75 bathroom and bedroom on the first floor seems like the least that should be offered!

Thanks for an interesting article! Have a terrific week.

Top 3 biggest home seller mistakes - So True! Overpricing a home just makes all the other competing homes for sale look better. I will never understand not making a home available to potential buyers. Leaving a home cluttered during showings leaves the potential buyer thinking this owner did not take very good care of the home, and it looks like they do not want to move.
