Roger Mucci is missing in action

Rob - I sure hope that your friend is just taking a morning/day off, and I also hope his mom is doing well. You're just a great example of how close our 'little' group of Rainers becomes and how important these followings can be.

Roger was posting on Facebook early this morning.  The last post was at 8:19AM Central Time

You are such a kind man and good friend Rob.  As you know, I wrote a post today explaining why I was MIA yesterday.  I did post of Facebook for Sheraton Furniture and I voted for my brothers company in Florida.

Mickey got transferred to the nursing facility on Saturday.....I think it was a bit premature but you know how hospitals can be.  This morning she starts rehab.  I will be there with her this afternoon.

Nothing can keep Mickey from kicking my ass at Rummy.....she did the other day when she was in the hospital....as soon as she could sit up and play.

On Tuesday of last week, I got a frantic call from one of my brothers......Mickey was failing fast and she asked to see all of her kids before she passed.  I was at work with Sunny, just the two of us, there was no way I could leave.  They put Mickey on the phone and through tears, she said goodbye.  I'm not sure how I did it, but I made her laugh during that conversation and went to the hospital when I got out of work.  She did not look like she would make it through the night.

The doctor said it was her medication, her leg looked fine and they were moving her to rehab.  WTF!  The nurses said they had seen "that look" many times and all of her vital signs could be normal, but if she willed herself to go, which she did, she said she made my Dad wait too long for her, that she could go.

It's been a roller coaster ride ever since.   One day she wants to check out, the next day she's fine and going home to kick my ass at Rummy.  It depends on which sibling she talks too and who gives her sympathy.  I give her none.............just support and love.

Rob, Yes, I would be concerned too if Roger was not posting.  I can see from his comment that he is "in action."  Thankfully, Mickey is being taken care of and still able to kick his A$$ in cards.

I'm praying every day for both Roger and Mickey.  How nice of you to write this post!
