The Problem with 30 day Challenges
The purpose of these Blog Every Day Challenges is to establish good blogging habits.
It worked for me in November. I did the 30 in 30 days challenge and it totally got me back in my blogging groove.
I usually blog during the week and take the weekends off. It's my style and it works for me.
But for some, these challenges become so stressful that they can't wait to get to the end and take a few days off. That's where the problem comes in. The longer you take off, the harder it is to get started again.
I just went to reciprocate a comment. This Blogger left me a nice comment and I wanted to do the same thing back.
When I read the most recent post, it was about completing the 30 in 30 days in November. This person had put his last few posts in drafts with the days set up to post them on the the last few days while he was on vacation.
I know he's back from vacation because he left me a comment over the weekend. But he hasn't written a new post since November. So that lovely habit has already been broken.
How can we create a balance with these challenges? Create the habit without the stress and need for time off?
