There is a shortage of propane now. I was told that much of the gas is being diverted up north due to the extermley cold weather.
For those of you in Dahlonega and the surrounding area that heat with propane you better keep an eye on your tank. This cold weather is causing you to use gas faster than you think.
I placed an order today and was only allowed to get 100 gallons. It cost 335 per gallon from Budget Propane. I called another place that would either let me get 50 gallons for $235 which is $4.70 per gallon or I could have gotten 100 gallons at $3.99 per gallon.
It could take up to 5 days to get the gas I ordered from Budget. The last thing you want is to be without heat and the temp get down into the teens. Not only will you be cold you will end up with frozen pipes as well.
If you own rental property that heats with prapain you should call the tenants and remind them to check the tank or better yet go check it yourself to be sure.
