The Icy Fingers of the Polar Vortex

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with North Sky Realty LLC 6502410580

Battle Creek WeatherThis morning when I got up I checked the weather like I do every morning.  This morning was another cold one.  I thought I would share with everyone what an almost surreal weather report looks like on my acuweather app on my iPad.

It is kind of a shock to the system to just see -10 degrees on the screen before you even venture outside to see what it feels like.  Another app said it was -13.

We have had a few colder days than this in January 2014, but what is funny is I seem to find myself become desensitized to the whole thing now.  As I mentioned above, it is kind of like that surreal feeling a boxer must get after receiving one too many punches.  The icy fingers of the polar vortex continues...

It is also too cold in Maryland. Today is the day for broker open houses in our area and I expect that many agents are staying inside.

Hi Michael, As I just checked the weather, I thought I would give a bit of contrast. It is     70 degrees here at 10:00AM and will hit into the high 70's to low 80's today. Tomorrow we will be in the mid to high 80's. We are having the warmest winter on record for January. The odd thing is that Feb and March will be so much colder. Temps would be about normal in the 50 to 60 degree range with lows in the high 30's and 40's.

I really like these cool temps, really makes you appreciate a warm home.

We went camping on a project for 1 night this past week, sure wish I had brought a better sleeping bag.  By 4 am I was ready to get up, warm up and find some breakfast.  And it sure was nice to get home.
