Women's Council of Realtors Convention San Diego was Great 01.19.2014

Started off with a fantastic welcoming party to all members and our speaker was terrific. Of course her discussion was interrupted during the football game at the final play where the ball was dropped and made everyone scream. We we again introduced to Linda Lee- 2014 President Elect and Heather Ozur-2014 State President. This party was held in a fantastic home on Coronado Island along with wine, appetizers, and delicious little cupcakes.

The following morning we started off with an array of speakers and welcoming speeches and a early meeting for "First Time Attendees". I went to the convention in 2012 but not 2013 so I attended the first time attendee meeting again.

Here is Heather Ozur Calling our meeting to order. She has so much enthusiam for her new position as 2014 State President. 

Debra Chandler, the Palm Desert Local Chapter President of WCR gave us the "Inspiration".

Kevin Brown, CAR President, gave us an informative talk on what is going on in California and with NAR. All Realtors must stay on top of the "Call to Actions" sent out by CA Association of Realtors because CA is trying to get money from the Realtors pocketbooks anyway they can. Luckily CAR has been keeping the bad bills out of play.  

Brian Copeland-Our Keynote Speaker- inspirational Speaker/Realtor/Broker out of Nashville, TN gave us a very interesting talk. Michael was named one of the top 100 people in 2013 by Inman News. Brian talk on "Viral" dealt with hyperlocal zip codes, maps and videos which make a huge positive effect on your business.

Charis Moreno,  from Trulia spoke on 'Connecting with the Modern Consumer". Trulia is always reaching out to the Realtors to keep us informed about buyers and sellers statistical patterns on the internet.

Imran Poladi- another Keynote Speakers, Realtor from Harcourts USA and another top 100 people named by Inman News for 2013. His discussion was on "One Life; Live, Love". Imran had a terrifying scare with cancer for several years. He fought back with a positive attitude and had the support of his family to guide him through. It was very inspiring to listen to.  

If you are a member of Women's Council of Realtors, come to the conventions as they are a lot of fun, full of knowledge to take back to your local organization and to promote your business.

If you are not a member, join Women's Council of Realtors as it is a part of NAR, full of events to attend, a great social networking area and most important it is for MEN and WOMEN Realtors.
