The annual Decatur Old House Fair is almost here :: February 8, 2014
For those of us who live in and around Decatur, Georgia, most appreciate the historic charm and artchitecture of older homes. The streets of the "intown" Atlanta neighborhoods are lined with 1900 Folk Victorians, 1920s Craftsman Bungalows, 1930s Tudor Revival homes and post-war cottages, so you can see why an Old House Fair is such a BIG event!
The Decatur Old House Fair will allow you to meet local craftsman, home suppliers, architects, and builders and get expert insights into new designs, ideas, technology, materials and techniques for your older Atlanta or Decatur home.
There will be several hands-on workshops and seminars that address old window restoration, energy efficiency, current tax incentives, and even how to research the history of your Atlanta home.
