Fort Myers Beach, Florida, where I reside, is a quaint seven mile island boasting seven miles of white beachline with easy access to the mainland.  Condominiums and old beach cottages co-exist on the shoreline. Estero Boulevard is the main street and runs the course of the Island.   Shooting off Estero are charming side streets where the residents live their tropical lifesyles in artsy bunaglows, quaint cottages and glamorous homes. No one on the Island lives far from the beach.  Some of these roads are situated on gulf access canals.  Many streets begin at the beach and end at the bay.

The house featured below is not waterfront but all houses on this street have been granted access to the boat and fishing dock locaed at the end of the street on the Bay, taking you out through Matanzas Pass to open waters.  Of course, only a short stroll will bring you to the Beach.
