In the Washington DC market, spring usually comes to life a week or two after Super Bowl Sunday. Prior to that time, we've usually had a winter lull. Of course, NO ONE works on Super Bowl Sunday, and our friends & families are grateful for that.
January 2014 seems to be a different year. While January 2013 was quite robust, we did settle down for Super Bowl weekend. This year, my buyers are desperate. At the office staff meeting, another agent and I clearly stated that we were Opening & Showing on Sunday. Some of the agents (and I'll suggest they were the most die-hard football fans) laughed and said we'd be alone, and incur the wrath of our friends & family.
Let's see how the next staff meeting is. Does the other agent and I get to laugh, or are we the ones who will realize we were alone on the streets of cold Washington this coming Sunday? Surely you know Saturday is already locked up with buyers. The spring market is surely blooming early here this year.
Let's be real though, I won't be working too late into the afternoon, right?
