As you’re riding through neighborhoods, you have probably seen your fair share of “For Sale by Owner” signs. Have you ever considered contacting these individuals and asking whether or not they would like to work with an agent, instead of going at it alone?
You don’t want to be intrusive—I wouldn’t recommend hounding these folks by any means. But it couldn’t hurt to put together a little package of information for them either. Consider giving them a call and asking if they would like more information on selling a home. You might even consider filling a door-hanger bag with your contact information and some literature on why they should consider using a real estate agent instead.
Make sure and let them know how reassuring it is to have a skilled negotiator, like you, on hand during complicated transactions. You want to make sure they get the price they deserve instead of settling for less.
Do you call “For Sale by Owner” residents? How do you let them know the perks of using a real estate agent?
