Eric: Like Joe, this makes great sense to me. Helping one another helps all of us succeed!
This is excellent advice for members of ActiveRain. It is easy to forget the needed random acts of kindness that are so important.
Have a very special weekend.
Eric, I like what you are saying and I am working toward a schedule to do more of this. I know it will help and be good for all.
Eric, Whether online or in person, I believe helping someone else without expecting anything in return is how we make the world better. Thank you for the reminder!
Hello Joe, Sounds good. Glad things are working well for you. I am thinking of ways to increase that and will keep you posted.
Hi Anita, like what you are doing with your group here Facebook Fridays. I have met a lot of good folks through it.
Thanks Roy
Sure will Debbie, I can see you are already doing a lot! Your weekly post on Saturday Subscriber Finds is a great example.
Hi Rebecca, Yep it sure would make the world better. Each of us contributes a little and the cumulative effect is grand.
Eric Your advice is always appreciated and excellent. Are you suggesting we click the FB and G+ buttons at the top of a blog? Does that add that blog to our site? These things are so simple and yet we overlook it. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day.
Hi John, clicking those buttons are a good start. I also friended many others from active rain on other social media channels like Facebook. It helps when we comment on each others updates, like and share them. I am thinking of ways to make it a little more organized, but this is a good start. Thanks for sharing your comments.
Thank you for the post. I agree it is not the number of friends that is important . It is the quality of friends.
This is very good advice for members of the ActiveRain network. Best wishes for continued success.
I like your advice and appreciate your sharing. Working together for the good of the whole sounds like a solid idea
Thank you Gita! I have been reading some interesting articles on community building it can be very powerful when done correctly.
Thanks Roy. Good to see you again.
Hi Cheryl, It's how those internet millionaires are popping out of nowhere. The more i look into it the more i am amazed.
This article in Forbes is pretty interesting How Giving In The Right Way Can Transform Your Business
Hi Eric-good points and advise for all to follow. Especially the "just be cool" part!![]()
Eric this is Excellent! not only suggesting this for a feature but posting it to fb, g+, and an email to ar.
Hi Marco, Glad you liked it. Thanks for being cool.
Bob, I really appreciate that. It's great when we can help each other out. Thanks for yoru support.
You know I have not tried to assemble many of my Active Rain associates as Facebook Friends !!! Would having them LIKE our Business Pages accomplish the same thing ?
Eric- if your goal is to deliver value to the reader, then you have more than met your goal. It is hard to keep up with what we are supposed to be doing. I take it (1) offer good content and (2) interact in the communities you're in. thank you!
Michael, I try to get them to like my business page as well, but it's a little tricky because it's not about the number of people you have it is really about the number of people who engage with your content. If you have a lot of likes, but the people do not engage with your content it can actually work against you. Thanks for commenting Michael.
Kevin, Glad you liked it!
Kathy, Thank you for letting me know.
Yes, if we all help each other, we will all rise a bit faster to the top. Commenting and sharing is what seems to make the most difference, regardless of medium. Makes sens. - Debbie
Great post Eric! I couldn't agree more than it doesn't matter what amount of friends you have but the quality of friends, especially on social networks! It doesn't matter how good the content of what you post is if nobody shares it! Be active and be engaging!
Eric,
Really like where you're at with your thoughts about taking care of one another and mutually beneficial SEO. Just be cool and give back, that's my new saying, I try to comment on at least 10 different blogs a week and Google+ them all as well as FB like them and follow that particular blogger. Keep up the great work
Hi Debbie, Nice to see you again. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts.
Anne, I am glad you liked it. Thanks for letting me know.
Thanks Jack, Glad you liked the post. I agree good content in a black hole doesn't do anyone any good.
Alex, Sounds like we are on the same page. Thanks for your comments.
Laura, Thanks for sharing your thoughts Laura
Eric - Excellent post. I have suggested it, as well. I know that the interaction is key. That is why when I visit people's Facebook pages, I try to usually leave a comment in addition to just liking something. I get many likes on my pages, though not many comments. Personally, I enjoy the interaction of getting a good topic going. Some people seem to post just to throw something out there.
Good morning Eric. Count me in as you make great sense. My blogging and social media efforts are paying dividend, but so much more can be done.
Make it a great weekend!
