Certainly doesn't look much like Orange County Debbie. Looks like New York state by sign on the truck door. I'm guessing circa 1930's. Great photo
We can certainly learn from the old days, where folks had time to talk to each other .....
I love the photo, and also like David's #10 comment. Talking to each other, other than via social media or texting, is becoming a dying art!
Thanks for the Memories, Debra, Nice to go back in time. Have a great week!
Debra,
That is an awesome pic. Do you know when it was taken? It definitely harkens back to a much simpler time.
Debra, will you share the story behind the picture? I love that hood ornament. Will have to look it up.
Good Morning Debra: No color can capture the good old days but sepia. The truck in the background was truly a transport back in time. :)
Hi Debra-very cool truck/photo. I recall from my youth seeing lots of those on the roads.
Thanks everyone for your comments. To answer the questions I took the photo several months ago in Sugar Loaf, NY. I was there for something, saw the truck and took the photo. It was parked out in front of a restaurant as the driver had gone inside to eat. Before I posted it, I just changed from a color photo to a Black and white because I felt it much more suited the time frame of the truck. :-)
Debra, that black and white exposure makes all the difference to the photo. Well done!
Debbie, you certainly captured our interest with this photo. Black & White/Sepia tone was the perfect choice.
