Sitting here watching the Super Bowl and following the comments on Facebook. The Denver fans are bored and ready to change the channel and, although the Seahawk fans are loving the score, they wish it was more of a challenge. Somehow all this gets me thinking . . . .
It’s the third quarter and the Seattle Seahawks have 36 points on the board. But Peyton Manning is not in the huddle whining about the fact the center snapped the ball past his head on the first play, that the “12th Man” is too loud, or that the receivers aren’t catching the ball. No, he’s IN THE GAME, fighting.
So, what’s that got to do with me Cyndi? Plenty. It’s February 2nd,
January is over and 1/12th of the year is behind us. How’d you do? If you’re one of the 97% of salespeople who DON’T set goals for yourself each year, you won’t know nor will you care. But, if you’re one of the 3% that DID set business goals for 2014 you will know. But will you care?
Did you do in January what you needed to in order to be on track for your annual goal? If so - congratulations! If not, what are you going to do? Will you create a plan to make it up so you’re on track by the end of the Quarter or will you, like many, throw in the towel.
Did you see Peyton Manning walk off the field and quit when Manny Ramirez sailed that ball past his head in the FIRST PLAY??

Remember, you can’t WIN the game if you’re not IN the game.
Cyndi
PS - Congratulations SeaHawks!
Edited to add: Denver may not have won the game, but kudos to Peyton Manning for staying in there and fighting to the end.
