In our current market, we have very low inventory levels in many price points. This doesn not, however, mean that you can price your home higher than market value and expect it to sell. It is critically importnat that you take the advice of your Realtor and price your home within the parimeters of the homes that are selling in your area. It does no one any good to have a high priced home sit on the market. After a certain period of time on the market, buyers start to wonder what is wrong with your home that it has not sold in a sellers market.
