Ask an Ambassador - How to Set Up an ActiveRain Referral Alert
If you've read Kerrie's February Cloudburst Challenge, you know that one of the tasks is to set up an ActiveRain Referral Alert! Huh? Yes, what a great feature here on ActiveRain that many of us either don't know about or forget it's there.
No questions, we all LOVE referrals so what does the referral alert do? The ActiveRain Referral Network allows members to either post referrals or ask for referrals. Once a referral request has been posted AND you have set up a referral alert that matches that referral's criteria, you will receive an alert sent to you. Easy!
As I was reading through some of the comments, I realized that many members don't know how to set up this referral alert so here are the steps to do just that:
1. From "My Home", click on "Other" in the left column, then click on "Referral Network"
2. The ActiveRain Referral Exchange opens up
In the left side column, you will see several options. Click on them to explore the Referral Exchange.
3. To set up your Referral Alert, click on "Referral Alerts".
4. In the screen that opens, click on "Create New Alert" and you will see the following:
5. Complete the blanks using the pull down arrows.
Make sure to click "Add" for each location you want to add to your alert. You can add up to five locations to the same alert.
Save and you are done!
You can create as many referral alerts as you want. And next time you are looking for an agent, inspector, insurance person or other professional, why not post a referral request using the ActiveRain Referral Network!
