It's convenience in location to Downtown Chicago, a suburban atmosphere and other amenities make Lincolnwood a fine place to call home. An interesting fact is that the former mayor John Proesel of Lincolnwood was in office for 46 years the longest of any mayor in American history.

There is some really good dining in Lincolnwood, my favorite being L. Woods which is a sort of Pine Lodge looking place with such a fantastic menu that you better plan ahead if you want to get in and call for a reservation. Ocean's Twelve was filmed there, you sort of feel like you are in the middle of a small town lodge and the food is out of this world.
