Well, according to all of the news channels today is officially Spring. As I look out the window after getting 4 inches of fresh snow only 2 days ago I am finding that very hard to believe.
It also happens to be Spring Break up in Northern Wisconsin so I think our large population of just over 1400 has dropped to half of that since no one is around this week. Good for all of them b/c it certainly does not feel like Spring yet.
However, it got me thinking about renewal and change and optimism and Spring!! I am, by nature, pretty much a believer in the power of positive thinking and this spring we really need to remember that this is a time of the year to think about renewal and new beginnings. If we can all march forward out of the daze of the last 6 months of snow or dull-drums or politics or whatever it is for you, with a positive sense that the market is going to be alright and that interest rates are going to stay low and that our economy will even itself out then I think we can all look forward to a positive year.
It may not be record breaking by most people's standard but maybe we can look at it as a year that we relearned how to get back to the basics of real estate. That we learned, again, how important customer service is. That we experienced the rebirth of a part of us that may have neglected community service and what good it can do our community as well as our business. This could be the year that we get back to the reasons why we started in real estate in the first place. We could all also learn about simplifying our life which is not always a bad thing either.
So, I am going to try and embrace Spring, as soon as the snow melts, with a great attitude this year.
